Hello Class of 2014,
Happy Spring/early Summer!
Hope you are enjoying the change in season and are looking forward to more fun and sunny days ahead. While we are all busy with our lives right now (who said being in our 20’s was easy?) make sure to take some time to relax this summer and reflect on where you are and how far you have come since our graduation 3 years ago. Remember the foundation you built at Dartmouth and how it has set you up for success and has taught you how to deal with different scenarios- adverse, easy, everything. We are fortunate in so many ways; so much to be thankful for- especially for our time at the College on the Hill! Please find updates below about what the Executive Committee has been working on - we have been busy trying keep our class connected with the school and strengthen our relationship with one another.
First, thanks to everyone who came out to our 2.5 Year Reunion in February- so much fun! It was great to connect with classmates and celebrate the first of many milestones we will experience as alums. From Boston to San Fran to Miami- there was great spirit all around and lots of alums bleeding green. Looking forward to more mini reunions to be had this summer- reach out if you are interested in hosting. It just takes someone to pick a time and place and spread the word. These events are fun and a great way to reunite with old friends!
Good news- WE HAVE A CLASS PROJECT! A more formal announcement is coming, but just wanted to share that we will be giving framed and matted photographs to the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge and surrounding cabins by acclaimed alum photographer, Eli Burakian ’00. The photographs depict scenes from around the mountain and lodge- capturing the true beauty and magic of the landscape. Almost all of you have experienced the Moosilauke and the Lodge in some way- through Trips, being on a Croo, casual hikes, delicious dinners and more- so we thought this would be an appropriate gift to be enjoyed by all. We are thrilled to be able to make a physical gift at such an early stage in tenure as alums. Programming and more announcements to come soon!
Don’t forget to donate to the Dartmouth College Fund before the end of the fiscal year! Our class broke a record last year for young alum donations, beating out the 5 year Reunion Class. Let’s keep it going this year – remember, it’s not about amount, it’s about participation. Even a few dollars is worth it. We dominated our bracket for the Granite Challenge this March, earning an additional 5K towards our total Class amount and are looking to give more. We are striving for $50K and 50% participation and it won’t be possible without your help!
Check our class Instagram handle (Dartmouth_2014) and upcoming newsletter for more updates on our class and our respective activities.
As usual, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me or anyone on our committee if you want to know more or want to help with any initiatives. We are gearing up soon for our 5 Year reunion and will be looking for eager volunteers- let us know if you are interested!
Hope to see you all soon!
Go Big Green!
